In a single year, Food Management and Trading Company Limited sold 200,000 quintals of food grains. In fiscal year 2077/78 BS, the company sold 206,721 quintals of rice. Rice, wheat, almonds, and induction cookers have all been sold at a cheaper price than the market price by the government-owned corporation. The goal for the company was to sell 170,000 quintals of food grains.
Food has been transported to 24 rural and hilly locations and sold at inexpensive costs by the food firm. It purchased paddy from farmers at a government-set support price. The government set a minimum support price for coarse paddy of Rs 2,735 per quintal and Rs 2,885 per quintal for medium paddy.
