Apple unveiled a slew of new laptops, a paid podcasting service, and devices for tracking down misplaced products on Tuesday (April 20), signalling the company’s ongoing expansion of its once-simple product line into more and more areas of consumers’ lives.
The following are the latest Apple devices that have been made public via virtual media:
The updated iMac is the event’s biggest attraction. Apple unveiled a newly redesigned iMac with the M1 processor. It’s ultra-thin, has a 24-inch screen, and a 1080p FaceTime camera. It’s also available in seven different colors. They will also have a new wireless keyboard with Touch ID authentication.
The latest iMacs, which start at $1,299, have a higher-quality front-facing camera and microphone, in response to customer concerns that the computer’s cameras had not kept up with iPhones and iPads during a period of ubiquitous video calls during the pandemic.
Apple iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro is available in two sizes, with an 11-inch display and a 12.9-inch display. A new mini LED display has been added to this iPad Pro.
The new iPad Pros, which start at $799, use Apple’s M1 chip rather than the beefed-up variant of iPhone chips used in previous versions. The tablets have a higher-quality display than the company’s laptops, as well as additional ports for connecting displays and 5G networking.
Apple has finally unveiled its latest gadget, the Air Tag, after two years of speculation.
Air Tag allows iPhone users to track down their misplaced smartphones. If an air tag is attached to a smartphone and the device is misplaced, the location of the device can be monitored using the iPhone’s “Find My” feature.
If a user misplaces their item and it is within Bluetooth range, they can use the Find My app to have the AirTag play a sound to help them find it. Users may also ask Siri to locate their object, and if it is nearby, AirTag will play a sound.
AirTag will be available in one- and four-packs from Apple Stores for $29 (US) and $99 (US), respectively.
Apple announced a new Apple TV 4K, which features the same A12 Bionic chip as the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. It now has the ability to play HDR and high-frame-rate videos. The 32GB version will cost $179. It will go on preorder on April 30th, and will be released in the second half of May.
iPhone 12 Purple
With the newly released Purple-colored iPhone 12, this year’s spring will be fine. With the precision-milled back glass and new style, it looks absolutely breathtaking. Despite the absence of an announcement for a new iPhone, Apple has enhanced the iPhone’s “Find My” functionality. The new phone is just stunning, and everybody is very enthusiastic about it!
