Because of an amendment to the Nepal-India Railway Agreement, goods can now be transported on Nepali Railways

KATHMANDU, JULY 10 – Nepal and India signed a railway agreement on Friday. Dinesh Bhattarai, Secretary, of Industry, , and Supplies, and Sushant Kumar Mishra, Additional Member, Railway of India, signed agreement on Nepal’s behalf.

Following the signing of the agreement, both Indian Railways and will be able to use the railway service to goods to Nepal.

Nepal will be able to transport from ports such as Kolkata, Haldia, and others. Entrepreneurs are pleased that this agreement will reduce the cost of goods transported to Nepal from India and third countries via India.

The agreement will be in effect for ten years. This agreement is set to be renewed after ten years.
