KATHMANDU, JULY 10 – Nepal and India signed a railway agreement on Friday. Dinesh Bhattarai, Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, and Sushant Kumar Mishra, Additional Member, Railway Board of India, signed the agreement on Nepal’s behalf.
Nepal will be able to transport cargo from ports such as Kolkata, Haldia, and others. Entrepreneurs are pleased that this agreement will reduce the cost of goods transported to Nepal from India and third countries via India.
The agreement will be in effect for ten years. This agreement is set to be renewed after ten years.
