The CPN-Maoist Centre has agreed not to help the KP Sharma Oli-led governmentR17;s withdrawal until this weekend.
According to the party’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha, an informal meeting of the CPN-Maoist Centre held on Thursday morning concluded that a formal meeting of the committee to be held Saturday or Sunday would make a formal decision.
Top leaders told others at today’s meeting about recent talks with other parties about the possibility of forming a coalition to form the next government. They have looked at the current political situation.
According to Shrestha, the meeting did not take a conclusion because other parties have yet to make a decision and the situation is uncertain.
“However, we do not endorse this government; we have yet to write a letter,” Shrestha explains, “and we encourage all parties to make their positions clear.”
