Gold Prices Surge in Nepal: Rs. 800 Increase per Tola, Silver Follows Suit


The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA) has reported a notable increase in the price of gold today compared to Wednesday’s trading value. Fine gold is currently priced at Rs. 1,25,800 per tola, marking an Rs. 800 rise from Wednesday’s rate of Rs. 1,25,000 per tola. This uptick follows a historic milestone achieved on March 10, 2024, when fine gold peaked at Rs. 1,26,000 per tola.

Similarly, Tejabi gold is now available at Rs. 1,25,200 per tola, reflecting an Rs. 800 increase from Wednesday’s price of Rs. 1,24,400 per tola. Furthermore, the price of silver has also seen a rise, reaching Rs. 1,515 per tola, up by Rs. 50 compared to Wednesday’s closing rate of Rs. 1,485 per tola.

While domestic markets show an upward trend, it’s essential to consider the influence of the international market. Currently, the global gold rate stands at $2,168.90 per ounce, indicating the broader market dynamics. Likewise, silver is also experiencing positive momentum internationally, with prices reaching $24.88 per ounce. These fluctuations highlight the interplay between domestic and international factors shaping the precious metals market.
