The fall in profit is primarily due to a decrease in Himal Power Limited dividend profits. According to the PPA agreement between Himal Power Limited (HPL) and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), HPL would divest 50 percent of its shares to NEA free of charge beginning in fiscal year 2077/78, including a revision of the PPA rate.
Butwal Power Company has a paid-up capital of Rs 295.13 crores, with Rs 399.91 crores in reserve and surplus as of Chaitra end 2077 BS.
