Butwal Power Company Earns Rs 45.86 Crores (Q3 Report)

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) has made a net profit of Rs 45.86 crores in the current fiscal year 2077/78. In comparison to the same timeframe the previous fiscal year, profit has plummeted by nearly 49%. During the same time last year, the profit was Rs 89.59 crores.

The in profit is primarily due to a decrease in Himal Power Limited dividend profits. According to the PPA agreement between Himal Power Limited (HPL) and Nepal Electricity (NEA), HPL would divest 50 percent of its shares to NEA free of charge in fiscal year 2077/78, including a revision of the PPA rate.

Butwal Power Company has a paid-up capital of Rs 295.13 crores, with Rs 399.91 crores in reserve and surplus as of Chaitra 2077 BS.
