Hyundai Motor India has released the first images of its upcoming Hyundai ALCAZAR luxury SUV, which will seat 6 to 7 people.

The new Alcazar, according to Hyundai India, is built to evoke the grandeur and magnificence of royal lineage palaces and castles.
With a mix of simplicity and futuristic features, it is designed to redefine driving experiences. It will provide an upscale experience to consumers, whether they are travelling for business or as a family to satisfy their wanderlust.
According to Hyundai, the Alcazar was tested on 15 drive tracks for different road driving conditions and manufactured in Tamil Nadu using 89 per cent green energy. In addition, the SUV has undergone extensive durability testing under GVW (gross vehicle weight) conditions on hilly terrain, rural roads, and highway roads in both hot and dry conditions.
The Hyundai Alcazar is available with a third-generation Nu 2.0-litre petrol engine and a U2 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 159 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, while the diesel engine produces 115 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. It’s the same engine that powers the Elantra sedan and the Tucson SUV.
Both engines have torque converter options of 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. Eco, City, and Sport will be the three driving modes available on the SUV.
The Alcazar petrol MT, according to Hyundai Motor India, will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. In addition, the Alcazar diesel is said to have the best fuel efficiency in the segment in both manual and automatic transmission options.
The 6-seater Alcazar SUV will feature captain seats in the middle row, while the 7-seater model will feature bench-style seats with a 60:40 split function. The former will have cup holders and wireless charging pads, as well as a tumble-down feature.
A wide touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto networking, connected car technology, a 360-degree display, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming IRVMs, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat will be among the vehicle’s main features.
The Hyundai Alcazar will compete against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV500, among others.
