In a Gorkha SUV crash, two people were killed and seven others were injured.

On Saturday evening, an SUV crashed off the in Rangrung, Sulikot rural municipality-2, Gorkha district, western , killing two and injuring seven others.

Rameshwar Neupane (55) and Thakur Dawadi (45), permanent residents of Bichaura, Dudhpokhari rural municipality of the neighboring Lamjung district, have been reported as the victims. They were rushed to Gorkha Hospital for treatment after the incident, but doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

Residents of the Lamjung and Tanahun districts were among the seven wounded. Bishnu Neupane and Anil Marahattha, two of them, are in critical condition and have been referred to for further care. The remaining five are being treated at Gorkha Hospital.

The Bolero (Na 5 Cha 3298) had crashed about 200 meters down the road on its way from Barpak to local Baluwa. It was transporting visitors to Barpak, the epicenter of the 205 earthquake.

The wounded had been evacuated from the scene of the by locals and officers.
