The Super Chepe Hydropower Project will be built by Ridge Line Energy Pvt. Ltd. The Department of Electricity Development has granted the corporation a construction permit for the project. On Jestha 7, 2078 BS, the department issued the license. The building permit will be valid until Jestha 6, 2113 BS.
With a capacity of 9.05 MW, the Super Chepe Hydropower Project is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project. Chepe Khola in Ajirkot rural municipality (Gorkha) and Dudhpokhari rural municipality will generate power (Lamjung).
The project is expected to produce 53.71 GWh of power per year. The project’s power will be evacuated via a 30 km long 33 kV transmission line to Tanahu’s Marki-Chowk Sub-station.
The project is expected to cost Rs 1.65 billion, according to the business. The project will be funded in a 70:30 ratio between loan and equity.
