Xiaomi Nepal has been hyping the release of the Mi 11X Pro in Nepal for a few days now. It is the same phone that was released in China as the Redmi K40 Pro+, which is similar to the Mi 11 in certain ways. It does, however, cost a little less than the Mi 11. What are the interesting characteristics of the Mi 11X Pro, aside from its flagship-level performance? Is it going to be another flagship at a not-so-flagship price? Let’s find out in this fast overview of the Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, which includes comprehensive features, a projected pricing in Nepal, and availability.
A Quick Overview
Display & Design
To be honest, the design does not appear to be as remarkable when compared to the luxury design with curved edges on the Mi 11. Don’t misunderstand me. With Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, the design remains appealing. The rear boasts a gradient finish and a huge pill-shaped triple camera array identical to the Mi 11X. There is a mid-hole-punch cutout for a selfie camera on the front. The phone’s design is 7.8mm thin.
The display is a step down from the Mi 11, which boasts a QHD+ panel. It has a 6.67′′ FHD+ HDR10+ Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 380Hz. It boasts a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a very good brightness of 1300nits (peak). DisplayMate also certifies the panel used here with an A+ rating. The Mi 11X Pro can also modify the color tone of the display based on the ambient lighting. So, overall, it’s a good display with a high contrast ratio.
Performance & Camera
Let us now discuss cameras. On the back, there are three cameras. The primary sensor has 108MP resolution and uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology to create 12MP photos by default. The other sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a field of view of 119°. Another option is a macro sensor, which has a focus range of 3-7cm from the subject. There is a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture. Unfortunately, there is no OIS on the phone.
In terms of performance, the internals are identical to those found in the Mi 11. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G 5nm chip-set and a 6th generation AI engine. It is the flagship CPU found in the majority of this year’s high-end Android devices. The visuals are handled by Adreno 660, which is a GPU. The gadget includes 8GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM as well as 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Mi 11X Pro has a 4520mAh battery with only 33W fast charging capability and neither 55W or 50W fast wireless charging capabilities like the Mi 11. The device includes two speakers that enable Dolby Atmos. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted rather than under-display as on the Mi 11. It runs MIUI 12 on top of Android 11. The device lacks a headphone jack.
