Smart Telecom has been given six more months to clear arrears totaling more than Rs 6 billion

The government has extended the deadline for Smart Telecom, the countryR7;s private mobile network service provider, to pay back arrears. According to a Cabinet decision on July 14, the has been six months to clear its arrears totaling more than Rs 6 billion.

The Company had until July 15, 2021, to clear its arrears. According to Santosh Paudel, Spokesperson, a letter in this regard has the Authority (NTA). Following the extension of the deadline, the Company is now required to submit a progress report to the NTA every month, he explained.

NTA is required to conduct an analysis of Smart Telecom’s financial status on the information by the company by mid-November and submit it to the Ministry.
