KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will give entrepreneurs with loans of up to Rs 2.5 million at a 1% interest rate.
Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced that up to Rs. 2.5 million will be made available to encourage young entrepreneurs to launch their own businesses.
It has been agreed that the registration of new enterprises and other services will be renewed at no cost. Foreign direct investment in start-up firms will be encouraged through policy facilitation.
Similarly, the government has established a Rs 1 billion challenge fund.
