According to Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi, the number of Covid-19 cases in the country may hit a new high in June.
The minister told a House of Representatives meeting in Kathmandu on Monday that the number of new cases had recently increased. “If we don’t get the health protocols in place, the number of infections could hit a new high in June,” he said.
In October 2020, the country had the highest ever number of new Covid-190 cases, with a daily positivity rate of about 35%.
According to Tripathi, the government is concerned about the rising number of infections in India.
